Here is another beautiful combination for an elegant jumpsuit: a man’s ethnic jacket with decorative silver studs and embroidery along the front edge of the jacket provides an interesting interpretation of recent fashion trends.

In general, Hmong Miao women’s clothing is far more elaborate, colorful and decorative than men’s attire, and this is what I liked about this jacket – its sharp, minimal look paired with hand-made silver ornaments.

If you are in Shanghai, you will love Dawn – she is the owner of Brocade Country, on Julu Lu. Her charming shop houses many distinctive pieces of clothing, jewelry and embroidered items that that reveal the patience and craftsmanship of these women who create such beautiful traditional garments.
